VEXOR Technology creates a unique solid matrix fuel to be utilized as an alternate fuel. The first use of this fuel has been in cement and lime kilns where coal is utilized as the primary energy source.
VEXOR Engineered Fuel® (VEF) is unique in that it is created from non-hazardous industrial and commercial wastes that traditionally hold no value and are landfilled. VEXOR incorporates specific waste streams, including, solids, liquids and sludges that meet certain fuel ingredient criteria. These qualified waste are processed together to produce a homogeneous, consistent fuel blend for use as a coal substitute.
All waste streams received at VEXOR undergo a pre-approval process, which takes into account both regulatory and processing characteristics. Those qualifying for potential VEF ingredients go through further analysis to make sure the final VEF blend meets the kiln specifications. Manufacturing the VEF produced includes proportioning, mixing, blending, shredding and batch analysis prior to release as a specification fuel.
VEXOR Engineered Fuel® (VEF) contains significant biomass, has no detectable mercury, low to no sulfur and has shown reductions of carbon monoxide, nitrogen dioxide and sulfur dioxide emissions when use to replace coal in cement and lime kilns. VEF reduces green house gases, reduces fossil fuel demand and provides sustainability and reduced liability through landfill avoidance and recycling.
